| Rewrite and Update Operating System Manuals Our team of experienced writers work with your personnel and franchisees (optional) to establish best practices, improve the organization of material, document new parts of your system and improve the readability and usability of your manuals. Our process is as follows: Step Four: Management 2000 will write the first draft of the manual and send it to the "Edit/Read Team" for review. Often this team meets after reading their copy of the draft to pool their ideas, corrections and suggestions. The writer would be present at this meeting. Step Five: Management 2000 would continue to do drafts and receive ideas, recommendations and corrections until a final draft is completed that meets the approval of the executive accountable for the project. Step Six: A decision is made on how to distribute the manuals [on-line, hard copy of both], where, when, who is involved, as well as why the project was undertaken and how it is going to help get, keep and satisfy customers, increase revenues and profits. Often the roll out of new manuals is done at an Annual Convention or at Regional Meetings. At these meetings representatives of the Corporate and Franchise Operators, who were instrumental in the development of the new manuals, are asked to speak to their value. This is important because these manuals often represent change and a case might have to be made for the compelling opportunity that exists with the new manuals. Example of an Operations Manual's contents follows:

Training Modules for Franchisees
Management 2000 has designed two modules that include Participant's Manuals and Leader's Guides. Each can be adapted to your company very easily. They are:
This module is one day in length and it ensures that new franchisees understand the core concepts and fundamentals of the franchiser/franchisee relationship. This module establishes the process and means to use the business planning process from day one as your franchisee. The business plan must be the core of the relationship between you and your franchisees and if they begin using a plan they will always use one and you can then more easily plan your systems growth. |

Pre-Opening Manual and Process
Many franchise systems do not have a pre-opening manual and process. When the franchise license is signed the new franchisee needs to sit with the operations people and establish a time-line for opening. A Pre-Opening Manual includes every activity and result necessary to successfully open their unit. It includes equipment lists, vendors, contact information, and phone numbers for all required activities. Our experience has shown that a Pre-Opening Manual will reduce the opening time for a new unit from minimum of one month to a maximum of six months. That means one to six months more in royalties. If you were to reduce openings by three months and were opening fifty units a year that is 150 months of royalties or 12.5 years of royalties to you! |
