Prepare a Franchise Development System

You must look on the selection of franchisees as if you were a “Head Hunter” who has been given a “work order” to find a company a certain number of managers, who possess certain very clear occupational qualities, skills, knowledge, abilities, background experiences and demonstrated results.

The process that we have developed for franchisors, asks the potential franchisee the following questions:
- Where are your today in terms of your income, lifestyle, debt, wealth building, and equity?
- Where do you want to be in terms of income, lifestyle, debt, wealth, and equity in 5, 10, 15, and 20 years?
- Can you achieve those goals doing what you are doing today?
- If the answer is no then the next question is: “Can you achieve those goals by becoming our franchisee?”
By focusing on the candidate you will sign more franchise agreements. Your franchise opportunity becomes a vehicle for the franchisee to accomplish their goals rather than an end in itself producing royalty revenue for you, the franchisor. Management 2000’s approach puts the focus of granting franchises in the correct perspective.
Before launching a process to find new franchisees the franchisor must avoid simply granting franchises to people who have the money, the desire to succeed, and who want to something different with their lives. Here are some of the items that Management 2000 assists franchisors with as a system is developed:
- Develop a profile of the ideal Franchisee candidate(s).
- Set up candidate generation strategies.
- Design a total system for dealing with the candidates from the initial inquiry through the signing of the agreements and interaction with the Corporate Office.
- The system includes promotional strategies, scripts, presentations, and communications [letters and email].
- Preparation of a budget for the development of Promotional Materials that will be part of the implementation of the candidate generation strategies.
