Franchise Training Program
Every franchisor must have a New Franchisee Training Program and this is your second opportunity to shape the thinking and future behaviors of your franchisees. The first opportunity you had to do this was during the process of granting the new franchisee their license agreement.
During both of these processes you have conveyed to the franchisee that do not “own the franchise,” but rather have been granted, the right and obligation, which they have accepted, to fully, completely, and consistently implement the Intellectual Property of the franchisor. Your Intellectual Property is designed to get and keep VERY satisfied and loyal, frequent user promoter customers.
During the New Franchisee Training the franchisees will acquire the skills, knowledge, and abilities they need to execute your Intellectual Property, and will learn how to select, lead, and manage a Customer-Centric staff.
Management 2000 has developed a New Franchisee Training that covers such areas as: Business Planning, The Philosophy of Franchising, Administration, Operations, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Franchisees Obligations, etc.
Management 2000 helps franchisors prepare a training program for the Franchisee, and Area Developers. The training is complete with Participant’s Workbook, Trainer’s Guide and PowerPoint presentations for implementation throughout the franchise system. This process enables a trainer to help Franchisees, and Area Developers, process and learn the information and systems they will need to build a profitable business.
Management 2000 works with the franchisor in the development of this training and obtains the necessary items to complete the system by working closely with the franchisor and key personnel. The operations manual and any existing training materials are used in the development of the training program. The steps that Management 2000 uses in developing the training program are as follows:
- Identify the franchisors’ goals of the training program and establish a timetable.
- Identify the company’s personnel who will provide input for the manual.
- Review and discuss the training program to insure that everyone has a good understanding of the program.
- Identify the objectives for each section in the program. Identify skills needed for each section. Identify situations for case studies and exercises.
- Design and develop the Trainer’s Guide and the Participant’s Workbook.
Management 2000 works with the franchisor to make sure that all the appropriate people in the company are completely trained on the New Franchisee Training so that the implementation will be effective for the franchise company and the new franchisees.
Management 2000 has worked with over 1,350 Franchise Companies in our 31 plus years of operation. Our experience includes working with existing franchise companies as well as companies who are just getting the franchise area up and running. References are available upon request.
